Calkins Midways - Carnival Rides and Games

Just as the slogan for Calkins Midways, Inc. states, "A Tradition in Family Entertainment," Calkins has become a tradition at the Buffalo County Fair providing carnival entertainment for over 40 years.

The journey for Calkins Midways, Inc. began when Bernie & Lois purchased the show of 6 Carnival Rides in 1966 from Elmer & Gina Vetter formerly of Clipper City Calkins Shows from Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The first year they booked 13 Fairs & Festivals. Now they book more than 28 Fairs and Festivals.

Now over 46+ years later, members of the Calkins Family have been involved in the operation of the show, from Bernie & Lois, Sons Michael & John, Daughters Linda & Sherry along with their nephew Chuck Waterman & wife Lynn along their Children Timothy & Daughter Debbie in addition to all husbands, wives, children, other nephews & nieces.
